The pioneer of Finnish film editing, born in 1934, with over 40 years of experience as an editor. His works include: The Stars Will Tell, Inspector Palmu (1962), Skin, Skin (1966), Here, Beneath the North Star (1968), Akseli and Elina (1970), A Man Without a Wife (1983) and Bride of the Seventh Heaven (2003) together with Lehmuskallio and Lapsui. In addition to editing, Gartz has also been a screenwriter, director and has written books about the film world.
